Product Details
This systematic review and meta-analysis examines the prevalence and types of mental disorders occurring alongside gambling disorder in representative adult populations. Across 12 eligible studies, approximately 82% of individuals with gambling disorder had at least one co-occurring mental disorder. Substance use, mood, and anxiety disorders were the most frequently identified conditions. Individuals with gambling disorder were substantially more likely to experience psychiatric disorders than the general population. The findings support routine screening for gambling disorder and psychiatric comorbidities across addiction and mental health services.
