This review examines how digital technologies may improve the identification and management of gaming disorder. It proposes a “Monitor–Predict–Intervene” framework combining continuous data from digital devices, artificial intelligence–based risk assessment, and personalized digital interventions. Behavioral patterns, sleep, mood, physiological indicators, and social functioning could be used together to identify changing levels of risk. The proposed approach may support earlier prevention and more individualized care, but much of the technology remains in development. Further research is needed to address privacy, data security, algorithm transparency, clinical validation, and practical implementation.
