This publication is a new national resource designed to help communities safely and effectively integrate behavioral health crisis response systems. The framework provides practical guidance on reducing legal risk, clarifying roles, strengthening partnerships, and improving coordination between 988 and 911 to ensure people in crisis receive timely, appropriate, and compassionate care.
