Underage drinking and cannabis use are harmful and based on misconceptions. Alcohol impairs judgment and reflexes, and only time can sober someone up, not coffee or cold showers. Underage drinking leads to over 4,300 deaths annually in the U.S. and increases the risk of alcohol dependence later in life. Cannabis is addictive, especially for teens, and its active ingredient, THC, negatively impacts learning and driving abilities. Both substances pose significant risks to health, safety, and future outcomes.
This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee,
Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
