The Gambling Clinic provides science-informed prevention, education, and treatment services to reduce gambling-related harm across Tennessee. It describes the prevalence and personal consequences of gambling problems, barriers to seeking help, and the growing accessibility and cultural acceptance of gambling. Services include free online resources, self-assessments, responsible-play guidance, appointment scheduling, and confidential in-person or telehealth treatment through three regional clinics. The organization also offers screening and referral tools for health care providers, community outreach, specialized programming for underserved populations, and ongoing research and evaluation. Reported program data indicate that approximately nine in ten people who complete treatment experience reduced harm, less gambling, and improved financial health. Funded by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, the initiative aims to establish Tennessee as a leader in evidence-based responses to gambling disorders.
This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee,
