BAM! Student/Teacher Resilience Lessons: Grades 4–8 helps teachers and school counselors introduce practical skills for managing stress and building resilience. Three lessons explore how stress affects the body, influences actions, and interacts with thoughts. Activities include breathing exercises, identifying physical signs of stress, recognizing unhelpful thinking patterns, and practicing more constructive responses. The resource includes student worksheets, lesson summaries, supporting video links, and parent or guardian letters in English and Spanish. Each lesson takes at least 10–15 minutes and can be tailored to students’ needs.
This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee,
Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
