It identifies signals that may indicate an alcohol or medication-related problem, and encourages them to talk to someone they trust. In addition it recommends preventive steps seniors can take, and advises them to share information about their medications and any previous health conditions with their physicians. It was created to accompany TIP 26, Substance Abuse Among Older Adults.
