The Tennessee
Association of Alcohol, Drug & other Addiction Services (TAADAS) Board of
Directors voted on a new slate of officers to govern the 30+ year old
association for addiction services.
Current TAADAS
Board President, Mike McLoughlin, handed over the reigns of the association to
Sharon Trammell, the Executive Director of Grace House in Memphis, Tennessee. Trammell
explains that “TAADAS is the trade organization for addiction treatment
programs in the state of Tennessee. Treatment programs need TAADAS to succeed.
The programs represented by TAADAS bring hope to so many individuals suffering
from addictive disease, and in doing so, aid the communities where these
individuals reside. As president of TAADAS, my vision is to try and move all
of the organizations working for the betterment of those suffering from
addictive disease, closer to working together. I believe that, as these
relationships are strengthened, and as the organizations present a more
united front, the ultimate winners will be the clients we work with, as well
as the treatment programs that comprise the TAADAS membership.”
Joe Pickens,
from JACOA in Jackson, will serve as the Vice President. Paul Fuchcar, from
CADAS in Chattanooga, will serve as the Secretary/Treasurer.
