Who We Are

TAADAS is a statewide, consumer-oriented, association with its beginnings in 1976,  whose mission is “To provide a collaborative Tennessee voice for addiction, co-occurring, prevention, and recovery support services to affect positive change.” TAADAS represents thousands of consumers in recovery, family members, healthcare professionals & providers.


Mission

To provide a collaborative Tennessee voice for addiction, co-occurring, prevention, and recovery support services to affect positive change.


Goals

To provide a forum of advocacy for providers;
To provide a forum of advocacy for consumers;
To increase resources, services, and sustainability available to organizations and individuals serving the population;
To increase acceptance of recovering individuals;
To influence State and National policy decisions relative to addictions, co-occurring, prevention, and recovery supporting services;
To further a sense of fellowship and helpful relationships among the Association’s members; and
To influence and shape the available delivery system by improving practices within the system of care.

TAADAS Board of Directors


Meet TAADAS new board members and leadership. At the July board meeting TAADAS welcomes incoming regional board representatives Reve McDavid, James Settles, Joe Pickens, John McAndrew, Daryl Murray and elected officers – Deborah Hillin, President; Albert Richardson, President Elect; Richard Barber, Treasurer; Charlotte Hoppers, Secretary. A special thanks to outgoing President Paul Fuchcar.



TAADAS Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday each month 10 AM - 12 Noon at the TAADAS Office Building 2nd Floor.
